Summary

In the Future Fit Dairy Initiative Arla Foods, Danone, FrieslandCampina, dsm-firmenich, and Rabobank are working together with dairy farmers to develop a farm-level framework to assure the dairy production remains within the planetary boundaries. The mentioned partners and three individual farmers will participate in this project which has two main objectives. The first is to design a draft general approach to collect data and give insights in the net transition costs of dairy farmers, taking into account differences between farms and countries. The second objective is to strengthen to FFDI-network with partners like (financial) advisors and relevant knowledge institutes. All this should result in an approach that can be rolled out after the project with a broader and stronger consortium in all countries involved
