Scoping study to assess the potential of feed ingredient production in terms of soil, climate and input availability in the Kinshasa region, DRC. Local feed is essential for the emerging poultry sector in the DRC.

This scoping study involves a GIS/crop growth modelling study, a literature study and a field visit to the Kinshasa region. Four companies, three in the Netherlands and one in the DRC, support this SMP and the Dutch Embassy has been informed.

We will use the analysis as a basis to formulate a proposal for the National Agricultural Developent Program funded by the World Bank.
